This shirt is hand crafted using original rare vintage 70's Sanderson fabric, in the eye catching William Morris 'Blackthorn' print. The pattern is of beautiful, autumnal foliage, with small flowers and leaves winding around each other.
William Morris has been a great inspiration to clothing designers over the years and his other-wordly designs continue to fascinate.
The Blackthorn kaftan has a stand up mandarin style collar, and fabric covered buttons and slightly flared sleeves. It has been designed to have a sleek slim fit which accentuates the waist and produces a flattering, contemporary outline. The collars on these kaftans are designed to be larger that normal shirts, to ensure a more comfortable fit.
Some shirt care suggestions:
- Avoid machine wash as it can lead to quick colour fading
- Hand-wash in isolation to check for colour overspill
- Soak in cold water and use a mild detergent
- Don’t leave the pile of wet clothes unattended, dry immediately
- Drip dry in shade as direct sun can lead to shrinkage
- Iron inside-out
